Then come and join our team as Commodity Manager (f/m/d) to where you will be part of a global Diagnostics (DX) Commodity team, and part of the broader Siemens Healthineers Global Procurement function.
Choose the best place for your work - Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- As a commodity manager, you should have an entrepreneurial mindset based on commercial knowledge and familiarity of medical device markets.
- You will be responsible for managing the strategic relationships with our key suppliers for our Diagnostic (DX) business area, including the development and implementation of commodity strategies, negotiation of long-term agreements, interacting with suppliers and cross-functions to ensure true business to business partnerships with a resilient & sustainable supply chain.
- You will interface to R&D scientists and Business Development to provide innovation from the supply base and collaborate on supplier selection and strategic direction to align with business objectives.
- You are expected to perform end to end supplier risk management and productivity programs are in place to ensure delivery, quality, compliance and cost targets are achieved today and, in the future.
- You will act as focal point between manufacturing, business development, quality & engineering and lead cross-functional projects.
- On an ongoing basis, you will interact with our Siemens Healthineers global commodity management and align on demand pooling, price negotiations and global commodity strategy.

Your qualifications and experience:
- You have successfully completed your university degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or related areas - a master’s degree is a plus
- You have many years of experience in Commodity Management, Supply Chain or Strategic Procurement, preferably in an FDA controlled environment
- You are experienced in supplier capacity, process, and capability assessment and you are able to identify improvement potentials
- You have proven expertise in commodities sourced for in-vitro diagnostic devices
- You are experienced in leading complex and cross-functional/cross-company projects
Your attributes and skills:
- You possess fluent English language skills, German language is a plus
- You are analytical and structured in your problem-solving approach
- You are a seasoned negotiator and contributor to the business’ profitability
- You are self-determined, goal oriented and able to prioritize in an agile environment
- You are a good communicator and team player with the drive to implement changes
- You can build strong and influential business relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
- You are willing to travel up to 20%
