Design Change Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading company in the data centre industry, for an experienced Design Change Manager to oversee and manage design modifications, upgrades, and technical improvements across their Frankfurt facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring that all design changes align with operational requirements, industry standards, and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end design change process, from initial assessment to implementation and review.
• Work closely with engineering, operations, and project management teams to ensure seamless integration of design modifications.
• Assess and evaluate proposed design changes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Oversee documentation, approvals, and risk assessments for all design modifications.
• Act as the liaison between stakeholders, contractors, and vendors, ensuring effective communication and project alignment.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability of data centre infrastructure.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality control to ensure successful execution.
• Ensure all modifications maintain high availability, energy efficiency, and operational excellence in a mission-critical environment.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in design change management, project coordination, or engineering within the data centre or critical infrastructure sectors.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems in data centre environments.
• Familiarity with compliance standards such as Uptime Institute, ISO, and industry best practices.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and drive decision-making.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive and structured approach.
• Strong proficiency in technical documentation, CAD tools, and project management software.
• Fluent in German and English.
