Key job responsibilities
As Head of Sales (T&T) you will lead a team of experienced Account Managers that help our customers build exceptional customer experiences that drive their growth and shape the future of Travel&Transportation. Your responsibilities will be to lead and develop a world class team, jointly build relationships for our strategic customers and map the future of T&T in Germany and beyond. You have to be an experienced sales leader with a builder and hands-on mentality.
Key job responsibilities
The new leader must have excellent change management skills to navigate complex organizational dynamics, drive cross-functional collaboration, and effectively communicate the vision and rationale for the restructuring efforts.
Leading through significant organizational change requires a deep understanding and consideration of how the changes will impact the team. The new leader must demonstrate genuine empathy, actively listen to concerns, and work collaboratively to address challenges in a way that fosters trust and psychological safety.
To earn the trust of the organization, the new leader must embody authenticity and integrity by being transparent, consistently modeling expected behaviors and values, and demonstrating a strong commitment to the team's success.
The new leader should be highly customer-focused, with the ability to understand customer needs and tailor solutions to meet their evolving requirements. They should be skilled at building strong relationships and aligning the team's strategies to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
The new leader must be an exceptional communicator, able to clearly and compellingly articulate the vision, goals, and progress of the T&T team to a wide range of stakeholders, using a combination of written, verbal, and visual communication methods.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience and a strong understanding of the Travel & Transportation industry, including the unique challenges, trends, and customer needs across the sub-sectors.
The new leader should have a proven track record of developing high-performing teams and nurturing talent through identifying skill gaps, providing targeted training and mentorship, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
The new leader must be a strategic thinker, capable of analyzing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and developing innovative go-to-market strategies, as well as having strong execution capabilities.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Berlin, BE, DEU | Dusseldorf, NW, DEU | Frankfurt, HE, DEU | Hamburg, HH, DEU | Munich, BY, DEU
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· 10+ years of experience in IT sales
· Hired, built, and mentored a sales team
· Direct field & management experience in working with enterprise and/or startup customers
· Would have consistently exceeded key performance metrics
· Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives
· Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences (fluent in german and english)
· Strong technical and business accumen
· Strong business writing skills are essential
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Passion for the T&T industry - deep curiosity to understand how our customers are adopting cloud and how to accelerate their cloud journey.
· Very comfortable with developing, implementing, managing and executing through influence across a cross-functional set of senior stakeholders.
· ‘Invent and simplify’ mindset. Data driven but comfortable with ambiguity. Exceptional problem- solver. Adept at simplifying complexity and developing scalable propositions.
· Strong bias for ‘working backwards’ from customers. Favors iterative hypothesis/test/analyze/ improve approaches. Pragmatic and ‘is right a lot’.
· Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results. Ability to effectively lead and work with a variety of organizations, management levels, cultures, and personalities.
