POSITION SUMMARY:
​​The Order Fulfillment Specialist will provides specialized analytical support to the Commercial Development and Demand & Supply Planning Teams in support of business goals/objectives. This position is responsible for managing stock allocations as required in order to prevent shortages to customer sales orders. Allocations are based on business rules and customer prioritization developed in close collaboration with the Commercial Development Team to reflect commercial strategies. Additionally, this position collaborates with cross-functional business partners to align on actions to mitigate the out of stock risk, while managing customer expectations proactively.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
​​Develop mitigation strategy on a weekly basis to achieve high levels of service for strategic customers. Monitor APO alerting through Demand Management Cockpit throughout all planning horizons and coordinate efforts to resolve.
Collaborate with Supply Chain Planning and Sales teams to the tactical execution of production and deployment plans (60%):

  • Analyze QA release and inbound timing and accuracy to predict the outcome of future stock shortages, adjust APO master data such as Scope Of Check as necessary.
  • In partnership with the Commercial Development Team, use mitigation strategy post-audit data to analyze the effectiveness on trade promotions. Use the resulting insight to inform the impact of future stock shortage events. Advice management regarding which mitigation strategy would be most effective under which circumstances (i.e. Allocation, reservation, customer prioritization).
  • Continuously work to align with Supply Planning and Distribution Requirements Planning on the operating conditions of the factories and distribution centers including storage capacity and throughput assumptions, to better proactively manage demand. Offer suggestions and seek commitment to best meet Customer demand, ensuring high Customer Service and Freshness, while minimizing cost.

Act as business expert for all Order 2 Cash (O2C) responsibilities (40%):

  • Develop and maintain critical SAP/APO Master Data to fully leverage the systematic allocation of inventory to sales orders.
  • Coordinate, facilitate and support cross functional meetings to drive alignment on the end-to-end plans. Meetings may include: the Weekly Operational Review (WOR), Commercial Demand and Supply Review (ComDSR), critical supply meetings (as needed), Weekly Logistics Review (WLR), Weekly Service Review (WSR), and other meetings as needed.
  • Develop and lead short term projects related to Customer Order Fulfillment studies, cost savings initiatives, and other Ensure Supply objectives related to the Business Solutions Center (BSC) and Demand/Supply Planning (DSP).
  • Create and maintain reporting to all levels of the organization that summarizes inventory versus demand risk, and proactively capture root cause such as capacity, demand plan accuracy, un-forecasted promotions, all related issues that impact key performance indicators
  • Present allocation/reservation customer prioritization plans to the cross functional team. Explain business assumptions behind the plans and methods used to quantify each event.
  • Liaison between Supply Chain Planning Team, Commercial Development Team, and the Business Solutions Center (BSC).

EXPERIENCE:

  • Preferred University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years of related work experience.
  • Excellent oral and written skills, organizational and time-management abilities, effective inter-personal skills, and the ability to work with personnel at all organizational levels. Flexibility and adaptability to the demands and requirements of a fast-paced environment with multiple demands and priorities.
  • Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to complex problems that may not have one clear answer.
  • Experience utilizing SAP and APO Demand and Supply Planning software desirable
  • Advanced knowledge of business software: Excel, Outlook, Access, Word, PowerBI, desirable​

SKILLS

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in consumer goods Operations/Transportation, Demand/Supply Planning is strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret data and build quantitative models of business problems.
