SENIOR SYSTEM ENGINEER (f/m/d)

Your Role
As a Senior Systems Engineer (f/m/d), you are directly responsible for the current and future trading infrastructure. You design and implement low latency, highly resilient infrastructure, considering the full infrastructure stack and in-line with development and the trading platform requirements. You report directly into the Head of Trading Infrastructure.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, deployment, and management of infrastructure systems, including servers, networks, and storage.
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud and on-premise solutions to ensure scalability and availability.
- Participation in on-call and out of hours change management (compensated)
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing infrastructure to optimize performance, security, and resilience.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uptime and reliability.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.
- Develop and document best practices, standards, and procedures for systems engineering and infrastructure management.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, recommending and implementing new technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other equivalent training.
- 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on infrastructure (cloud and on-premise).
- Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong knowledge of networking, virtualization, storage, and security principles.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Saltstack, Terraform, PowerShell, Python).
- Proven experience in designing and maintaining highly available, scalable infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, with a passion for mentoring and collaborating with oth
